Area Man Finds Purpose After Seeing Help, Let Me Out RN!

CHICAGO, IL— Taking up temporary residence in a popular theater ironically named The Annoyance are a humble group of hilarious young adults using comedy to give hope to people around the Chicago area. “It really just began as a fun sketch comedy show,” said Help, Let Me Out RN! cast member Tucker Privette. “But it actually turns out the whole time we’ve been bettering people’s days and changing lives by the minute.”

Under the direction of Second City performer Cat McDonnell, the cast of HLMORN have spent the last months developing material through a series of previews to create an anchor show for MessFest Comedy Festival, happening at the Annoyance this week. So while the final show opens tomorrow, parts of it have already been performed, seen, rewritten, and performed again. Basically, through cuts and rewrites and joking around this group of people has created the piece of comedy that will once and for all change the world.

John Miller, an accountant in Chicago, said he accidentally found Help, Let Me Out RN! while walking to his daily appointment at Devil Dawgs. “I usually go for the Chicago Dawg, yeah. I’m not one to change my routine, I mean, I wear the same pair of too-small khakis every day. But when I saw the signs for that show, I knew I had to see it. I knew after I saw it everything would be different.” Sporting his most untied tie and most slovenly khakis, Miller made his way to the Annoyance Theater at 8pm Thursday night. “What I saw there is impossible to describe. I mean, it really changed my life. I went back the next day. I went back the next day with a new pair of slacks and this time: a Coney cheese dog. I went back every day and sat in the front row. I never would have done that before I saw this show. I mean, if Horatio Beastmaster can defeat spiders in my bathtub, then why can’t I ask my boss for a raise? If straight men can brave the cold, why can’t I propose to my girlfriend? If the youth of tomorrow can get rid of all the gasoline and fix the climate crisis, then why can’t I fix my life today?”

With an assured yet grounded sparkle in his eye, Miller made sure to bring all his friends to the show to ensure they get the same experience he did. “It’s crazy,” says HLMORN cast member Isha Pati. “People are coming up to us on the street and asking us to bless their day. They want us to give them locks of our hair and name their first born children Bradley Haverfucks. I don’t even think that’s legal. I mean, we truly have given every single spectator a miracle.”

Audience members of HLMORN were reported to have a fifty percent increase in luck and be significantly hotter after seeing the production.

Lucky for the Chicago Area, HLMORN performs January 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th at 8pm at the Annoyance Theater. In the final moments before stepping on stage, Privette exclaims, “The name is Help, Let Me Out RN! But it really should be Help? Let Us Help You RN!”.
