Guys…
I looked at my knife block today, thinkin’ ‘bout cutting up some chicken for cutlets. (I make a mean cutlet, trust). And I was just staring at it like…. Why so many knives?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO THINGS?!?!?!

And don’t get me wrong I get it, like the knives are all used for different purposes, I KNOW. But why has no one invented a knife that can do it all. Has no one ever thought about the fact that a steak knife is just a bread knife but smaller? I feel like we can find a healthy middle for both bread and steak.
And also, why do I have paring knives of several different sizes? Sure, my roommate’s mom is a frequent customer of Pampered Chef, but do I really need a small paring knife specifically for lemons and a slightly (and I mean SLIGHTLY) larger one for limes? THEY’RE THE SAME SIZE!!!!
This is a trick I think, by the knife monopoly, if it exists. They are trying to get us to buy more knives. The only question is why?
Is it to incite violence among people, an easy weapon in every household…? No, big corporations don’t care about the people’s safety. It’s all about money, isn’t it, knife companies? It’s all about what knives can we make smaller so people think they’re different. I know the game you’re playing and I’M NOT HAVING IT!
I had a friend in high school, their name was Lila and their dad was a knife maker. He made them by hand. My dad bought one of the first knives he made. And it wasn’t fancy or anything, just a straight up blade that could chop through anything. It was $150. BUT IT COULD CUT THROUGH ANYTHING! He was on a YouTube video once comparing cheap vs expensive knives, so I knew he knew his stuff, he got every answer right.
MY FUCKING KNIFE BLOCK, that by the way CANT CUT THROUGH SHIT, cost $100. So you’re meaning to tell me that I could’ve helped pay my friends tuition by buying their dads ‘everything knife’ and I would only ever need to have 1 knife and 1 sharpening tool. But no I must have this fucking HUNK OF SHIT THAT DOESNT FUCKING FIT UNDER MY CUPBOARD AND I HAVE TO TAKE OUT EVERY TIME I WANT TO CUT A DAMN CUTLET IN HALF?!?!?!
Anyways. Geoff is great, and you should buy his knives. Federknives.com
